at the Research Group Theory and Applications of Algorithms
 


Reference number: 8977

The positions are meant to provide young scientists with PhD with support to broaden and deepen his or her research agenda. Employment (20hrs/week) is based on a 3-year contract. To receive full consideration, applications must include vita, list of publications, a research statement and name of two references.



Duration of employment: 3 year/s

Extent of Employment: 20.0 hours/week
Job grading in accordance with collective bargaining agreement: §48 VwGr. B1 lit. b (postdoc) with relevant work experience determining the assignment to a particular salary grade.

Job Description:
Participation in research, teaching and administration
- Participation in research projects
- (International) publishing and presentation activities
- Project application and (external) fundraising
- Holding classes due to extent regulations of wage agreement
- Examination activities
- Supervision of Bachelor and Master students
- Participation in evaluation activites and in quality assurance
- Particiption in administration of the research group and the department

Profile:
PhD in the field Mathematics or Computer Science / with focus on design and analysis of graph algorithms
- Professional competence
- Knowledge of principles of teaching
- High command of written and oral language
- Foreign language: English
- Ability to work in teams

- Experience in teaching / experience in e-learning
- Knowledge of university structures and processes
