We are looking for a Licentiate thesis student in the area of Medical Data Analytics: The department is closely working with a medical institution for online medical data analysis. The primary objective is prediction of infection for babies from physiological markers. The tools and technologies are primarily from deep machine learning and optimization. The medical institution actively takes part in the project by providing data and medical knowledge for interpreting the data and prediction outcomes.

The applicant is expected to hold or to be about to receive an MSc degree in Mathematics/Statistics, Engineering Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.The successful applicant should have an outstanding academic track record, and well developed analytical and problem solving skills including programming skills to develop data analytics platforms. We are looking for a strongly motivated person, who is able to work independently. Good command of English orally and in writing is required to publish and present results at international conferences and in international journals.

The employment may be extended for a maximum of two years at a time. However, the total period of employment may not exceed the equivalent of four years of full-time study.
