The Group of Professor Ueli Suter at the Institute of Molecular Health Sciences of the Department of Biology is interested in fundamental questions in relation to Neuron-Glia Interactions & Myelination in Development, Plasticity & Diseases of the Nervous System.
We are looking for a proactive and self-motivated person to support our activities in research, teaching, and related tasks. You will work in an interactive team-oriented environment in a self-responsible manner and are expected to be well versed in the planning, managing and efficient realization of research projects. An avid interest in and the capability to contribute to teaching in Biology are also required.
The preferred start is February 1, 2021 or upon agreement.
We expect a B.Sc./M.Sc. in Biology (or in closely related fields) with qualified laboratory experience in molecular biology, biochemistry and cell biology. Ideally, these skills extend to cell culture and associated genetic techniques, and further to the tissue level, including histological analyses, immunohistochemical methods, and microscopy. Good written and oral communication skills in English are a must. Familiarity in working with mice (LTK 1 course) is desirable.
