Staff Scientist position in FIB microscopy at OtaNano infrastructure at Aalto University

The Nanomicroscopy Centre in Aalto University is looking for a Staff Scientist to manage the daily operations of a focused-ion-beam microscope and to participate in operating a number of conventional transmission electron microscopes.

The Nanomicroscopy Centre is a part of the National OtaNano Research Infrastructure in Finland (http://otanano.aalto.fi/). OtaNano includes state-of-the-art facilities for fabrication, characterization and measurement of nanostructures, materials and devices. The nanomicroscopy part of the infrastructure serves more than 200 users annually by offering various high-resolution microscopy apparatuses for soft-, hard-, and biomaterial characterization. The equipment arsenal includes five transmission electron microscopes: a double Cs-corrector TEM (JEOL JEM-2200FS), a liquid-helium cryo-TEM (JEOL JEM-3200FSC) and (JEOL JEM-2800, FEI Tecnai F20, FEI Tecnai 12) TEM’s. In addition, there are three scanning electron microscopes (JEOL JSM-7500FA, Zeiss Sigma VP and Zeiss EVO environmental SEM), and a Dual beam FIB-SEM (Jeol 4700F), and scanning probe microscopes. More information is available at http://nmc.aalto.fi/.
